July 2001 - M.V. Budding Rose Pd - Auxiliary Engine Problem

Initial inspection carried out on auxiliary engine failure. Engine partially stripped down, damaged components found, assessed and reported to vessel owners & insurance. All pipework disconnected and removed. Access hole burned out from port side hull shell plate. Auxiliary engine removed from vessel. Replacement parts & costings carried out. New auxiliary engine supplied and refitted back aboard vessel. All pipework reconnected and exhaust system lagged/bagged accordingly. Refitted previously burned out access hole and welded up same. All alignment procedures and tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.             See Pictures of the process 

June 2001 - M.V. Leanne Pd - Net Drum Removal & Repair

To remove net drum from vessel and take back to workshop. Strip down net drum, inspect, assess and reported findings to vessel owners. Altered and modified net drums to provide new set up. Modified drive & pedestals to suit new set up. Manufactured new base plates, refitted back aboard vessel and lined up accordingly. Welded up all, securing into position. Manufactured & installed new pipework securing brackets. Cut out and altered access door to same and rewelded back same.

 

May 2001 - R.V. Akademik Golitsyn - Installation of Evaporator

To install fresh water evaporator pump system aboard vessel. Manufacture, jig up and install all relevant pipework to suit evaporator. Manufacture and install various securing pipe brackets. Fabrication & installation of pump stool. Also manufactured and installed copper pipework for air conditioning unit.

April 2001 - M.V. Clarness Ins - Step Up Box Clutch Modifications

To remove existing clutch unit from step up box. Manufacture new clutch unit components. Supply new clutch unit assembly. Install clutch unit assembly back aboard vessel. Couple up clutch unit assebmly to step up box. Set up clutch engagement. Completion sea trials carried out.

April 2001 - M.V. Carissane Fr - Gearbox Problem

Initial inspection carried out on pitch problem. Assessed and reported findings to vessel owners. Removed gearbox inspection doors and found damaged components. All hydraulic’s and associated pipework disconnected and removed. Gearbox unbolted and main engine removed from engine room. Gearbox removed from vessel. Gearbox then dismantled further, to evaluate full extent of damage. Gearbox replacement components sourced & costed. Inspected tailshaft, assess and reported findings. Tailshaft removed & new replacement sealing components replaced, refitted tailshaft & rudder. New alternative gearbox supplied and refitted back aboard vessel and into position. All hydraulic’s and pipework reinstated, various pipework modified to suit new gearbox. Reinstated engine back into position. All alignment procedures and tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

April 2001 - M.V. Courageous Ins - Auxiliary Engine Exhaust Leaks

To cut out dummy exhaust funnel and remove old exhaust system for both auxiliary engines. Manufacture, jig up, install & connect up new pipework and silencers to suit existing auxiliary engines. All pipework lagged and bagged accordingly. Manufactured and fitted new securing brackets. Run up engines, vibration, heat and emission checks carried out.

February 2001 - M.V. Mattanja Tn - Gearbox Problem

Initial inspection carried out. Damage found, assessed and reported. All hydraulic’s and associated pipework disconnected and removed. Gearbox unbolted and moved gearbox to side deck. Gearbox partially dismantled for further inspection. Gearbox to be removed. Gearbox removed from boat. Gearbox then dismantled further to evaluate full extent of damage. Gearbox components prepared for transportation and sent for replacements. All gearbox components lifted back aboard boat and into position. Assembled gearbox using new components and spares. All hydraulic’s and pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned out access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures and tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

 

February 2001 - M.V. Fredwood Ba - Down Drive Box Removal & Repair

To remove down drive box from vessel and strip down same. Overhaul same by inspecting all major components and replacing accordingly. Reassemble down drive box using all new spare parts. Refit back aboard vessel and into position. Check out clutch engagement & clearances. Modify to enable correct clearance between box & drive coupling. All alignment procedures and tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

 

February 2001 - M.V. Ocean Harvest Bf - Step Up Box Removal & Repair

To inspect clutch engagement problem, assess and report. Removed step up box from vessel. Completely strip down step up box in workshop, inspect, assess and report damage to insurance. Ordered up new replacement parts. Assembled step up box, using new spare parts. Refitted step up box back aboard vessel and into position. All alignment procedures and tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

 

February 2001 - M.V. Golden Eagle Bck - Step Up Box Removal & Repair

To partially strip down step up box, inspect, assess and report damage. Remove from vessel along with forend assembly. Completely strip down step up box. New components manufactured. Assembled step up box using new spare parts. Modified step up box to suit new clutch assembly. New components and bell housing fitted to forend. Refitted step up box & forend back aboard vessel and into position. All alignment procedures and tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

To strip down step up box, inspect, assess and report damage. Remove from vessel. New components manufactured. Assembled step up box using new spare parts. Modified step up box to suit new clutch assembly. Refitted step up box back aboard vessel and into position. All alignment procedures and tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

 

January 2001 - M.V. Moremma Pd - Main Engine Removal & Reinstallation

All major pipework disconnected. Access hole burned out from shelter deck. Main engine removed & reinstated with replacement engine. All pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

December 2000 - M.V. Rymaralee Ins - Main Engine Removal & Reinstallation

All major pipework disconnected and removed. Access hole burned out from portside hull shell plate. Old engine seating beds altered. Main engine removed & reinstated with replacement engine. All pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

December 2000 - M.V. Victoria May Pd - Gearbox Problem

Initial inspection carried out. Damage found, assessed and reported. All hydraulic’s and associated pipework disconnected and removed. Gearbox unbolted and moved gearbox aft. Gearbox partially dismantled for further inspection. Gearbox to be removed. Deck burned out for access and gearbox removed from boat. Gearbox then dismantled further to evaluate full extent of damage. Gearbox prepared for transportation and sent for repair. Repaired gearbox lifted back aboard boat and into position. All hydraulic’s and pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned out access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

November 2000 - M.V. Valhalla Fr - Gearbox Problem

Initial inspection carried out. Damage found, assessed and reported. All hydraulic’s

and associated pipework disconnected and removed. Main engine moved forward and gearbox moved. Side deck burned out for access and gearbox removed from boat. Gearbox then dismantled further to evaluate full extent of damage. Gearbox prepared for transportation and sent for repair. Repaired gearbox lifted back aboard boat and into position. All hydraulic’s and pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned out access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

September 2000 - M.V. Golden Gain Fr - Main Engine Removal & Reinstallation.

All major pipework disconnected. Access hole burned out from stbd side hull shell plate. Main engine removed & reinstated with replacement engine. All pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out. Also removed gearbox, stripped down, inspected, overhauled, reassembled and refitted back into position - all carried out in accordance with gearbox manufacturer’s on-site representative.

August 2000 - M.V. Arkh Angell Lk - Main Engine Removal & Reinstallation

All major pipework disconnected and removed. Access hole burned out from hull shell plate. Main engine removed & reinstated with replacement engine. All pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

March 2000 - M.V. Evening Star Pd - Main Engine Removal & Reinstallation

All major pipework disconnected and removed. Access hole burned out from hull shell plate. Old engine seating beds altered. New bilge pipework and exhaust systems installed. Main engine removed & reinstated with replacement engine. All pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

January 2000 - M.V. Lorena Bf - Main Engine Removal & Reinstallation

All major pipework disconnected. Access hole burned out from hull shell plate. Main engine removed & reinstated with repaired engine. All pipework reinstated, refitted previously burned access plate and rewelded back. All alignment procedures carried out, tolerance checks carried out. Completion sea trials carried out.

November 1999 - M.V. Treasure Ins - Aux. Engine Removal & Reinstallation

All pipework disconnected and removed. Access hole burned out from stbd hull shell plate. Auxiliary engine removed & reinstated with new. All exhaust systems lagged. All pipework reconnected and completion tests carried out.
